SPANISH IMMERSION SCHOOL
Our Spanish Immersion curriculum is based on a combination of philosophies:

These two methods help us achieve our mission and goals of providing a safe, nurturing and educational environment for children.
All our programs are in Spanish and our students learn to speak, write and read in Spanish.

-Food Handler Training
- Sleep Safety Training
- Disaster Plan Training
- Cleared background check
- STARS hours (minimum of 20 per year)
- CDA/AA/BA in Early Childhood Educ

Fatima holds a BS in Social Psychology with a concentration in Children and Adolescents, BA in Early Learning and Teacher Education & Bachelor in Social Work, she also holds a Master's in Clinical Psychology. Her experience includes working for non profit organizations dedicated to helping families in adversity and children with special needs, she has also worked at schools as a behavioral specilist and program director in California. Fatima is fluent in Spanish and English, and currently working on learning French and Italian. Fatima's daily responsabilities at The Learning Nest include behavioral assessments, occupational and behavioral therapy, staff trainings, curriculum and planning.
Fatima is also the Owner of Serenidad Counseling which provides client treatment programs, support and resources to families, children and adolescents.
"I'm proud of my culture so one of my favorite things to do is visit my family in Monterrey, Mexico, explore new places in my beautiful country and eat delicious Mexican food. I also enjoy reading with a cup of coffee, going to the movies, dancing, walking on a rainy day, going to the gym, going on hikes and traveling. Fatima is proud to be from Mexico.
Miss Marisa is The Learning Nest Preschool Assistant Director, she has experience working with families and children. She was an au pair for many years and moved on to a management position. Marisa holds a BA in Psychology and AA in General Business, she is currently back in school to earn her AA in Early Childhood Education. She also provides support in the classrooms as a substitute teacher when needed and provides support to the teachers. She likes working with children and her personality helps her build a trusting and strong relationship with children and their families.
She likes to get involved in planning and curriculum to provide ideas and support the teachers with activities.
Marisa likes to dance, listen to music and the beach! She loves the outdoors and doing activities such as hiking and walking. She enjoys reading a book and having relaxing moments during her day and loves to travel. She has been to many countries and one of the things she appreciates the most is learning about other cultures. Marisa is proud to be from Spain.
Birds Classroom: 12 to 24 month olds
Owls Classroom: 2 to 3 year olds
Deers Classroom: 3 to 4 year olds
Rabbits (Pre-K) Classroom: 4 to 5 year olds
ISD Students: Kindergarten to 4th graders
PART TIME: 9:00am to 1:00pm
FULL TIME: 9:00am to 3:00pm
FULL TIME W/CARE: 7:00am to 6:00pm
