THE LEARNING NEST STAFF

Miss Julissa is the Birds Co-Lead Teacher, she loves working with children and her calm personality allow her to provide a nurturing environment for young children. She is fluent in Spanish and provides the language curriculum in the classroom as children learn words in Spanish. She's up to date with her STARS hours and she's always looking for ways to learn new things and bring ideas to the classroom. Her favorite age is one year olds and her favorite thing to do in the classroom is sign and dance with the class. Miss Julisa is proud to be from Peru.

Miss Merelyn is the Birds Assistant Teacher, she provides support with the English curriculum in the classroom. Her love for children help her build a trusting relationship with our students, she likes to introduce new learning opportunities to reinfoce emotional and social skills. She is currently enrolled in school to earn her AA in Early Childhood Education. She is a great addition to the classroom because of her nurturing and loving way of handling conflict and resolving any issues. Miss Merelyn is proud to be from Mexico.

Miss Francis is the Birds Assistant Teacher, she is coming back to our school this year after taking some time off. She provides support and helps the teachers implement new activities and curriculum. She provides support with the Spanish curriculum and is very involved when it comes to planning, she likes to provide a nurturing environment for our students where they can thrive socially and emotionally. She is currently enrolled at school and looking forward to obtaining her early childhood state certfication this year. Miss Francis is proud to be from Mexico.

Miss Isabel is the Owls Lead Teacher. She was a teacher for many years in Mexico before moving to the United States. She likes to provide a nurturing environment and learn from students as much as she can. She is a great mentor to the teachers and provides learning opportunities for their professional growth. Isabel likes to create a connection with her students but also with their families for which she values communication. She speaks Spanish and provides strong language skills along with providing a fun and caring environment. She earned her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Miss Isabel is proud to be from Mexico.

Miss Liseth is our Owls Assistant. She holds a BA in Nursing and excited to start her Early Childhood Education journey, she will soon start taking classes to obtain her Associates Degree. Miss Liseth has worked in different areas in the health sector, from children to older adults providing care and support to fulfill their health needs. She has general knowledge of preschool education and is always looking for ways to grow her experience and learning while working with small children. Her personality is a great fit for this classroom to keep children interested, inspired and motivated. Her priority is help children grow, thrive and be ready for the next developmental stage. Miss Liseth is proud to be from Ecuador.

Miss Ana Maria is the Owls Assistant Teacher. She has worked with children for the past few years and is currently growing her knowledge by taking ECE classes to earn her certification as a preschool teacher. She holds a BA in Business and worked in an office setting for many years before deciding to change careers. She has a great attitude to work with children because of her love and passion as a preschool teacher, she provides a nurturing and compassionate environment. Her priority is making her students feel heard, safe and loved, she has an ability to support and confort students with her calm and gentle personality. Miss Ana Maria is proud to be from Colombia.

Miss Lupita is our Deers Lead Teacher. She holds a BA in Nursing and she's excited to work with children and provide support to our young preschool classroom. She has worked in preschool settings for the last couple of years and is currently attending school to obtain her AA in Early Childhood Education. She is hoping to complete it soon and be able to continue obtaning experience to apply her knowledge and experience in a classroom setting. Miss Lupita provides a very calm, nurturing and friendly environment, she believes that adults are role models and it's our responsability to help our students thrive socially and emotionally by providing them with the necessary tools and skills so they can explore the world. Miss Lupita is proud to be from Mexico.

Miss Ana Maria is the Deers Support Specialist and Assistant Teacher. She holds a BA in Special Education and a Master's in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Children. She has experience working in schools, with her last job being at the Mexican Public Schools as a Behavioral Specialist supporting students in her classroom with behavioral needs. She has worked with children for more than 15 years and continues growing her knowledge and education and staying updated with new research in children development. She is in charge of evaluations and provides tools and trainings to teacher to recognize appropriate signs of development, her priority is helping students be successful by learning how to regulate emotions and build strong social/emotional skills. Ana Maria works in all the classrooms supporting students who need extra support and providing teachers the appropriate tools to manage behaviors in the classroom. Ana Maria is proud to be from Mexico.

Miss Samantha is the Rabbits Lead Teacher and Program Supervisor, she has many years of experience and was a teacher in Mexico. She completed her BA in Preschool Education in Mexico and has been working at local preschools where she is able to implement the curriculum and apply her knowledge and experience. She is focused on providing a loving, nurturing and educational environment for her students and making sure they hold the skills to succeed in Kindergarten. She likes to do music, arts and crafts and physical education with her students. Her circle times include opportunities for students to grow their social and emotional skills. Samantha also provides support for teachers and help them grow and achieve professional goals, as Program Supervisor she provides resources to improve the program and make sure we are meeting expectations. Samantha is proud to be from Mexico.

Miss Lisset is the Rabbits Assistant Teacher. After earning her BA in Social Science she moved from Mexico and started working with children and families, her main focus is development and nurturing environment which helps her provide the approrpiate tools to the teachers. She is currently enrolled in school to earn her AA in Early Childhood Education and hopes to continue growing her knowledge by taking certifications. She likes working with families and being available to address concerns and give support to co-workers and families. Although she already holds a BA she is eager to continue learning about development and be able to provide support to children in her class. Miss Liss is proud to be from Mexico.
