Preschool Program (2 to 5 year olds)

Our preschool program follows a Reggio Emilia philosophy as well as a STEM incorporated curriculum. Our priority is for children to thrive in a social environment. 

Our preschool program offers learning centers such as art station, blocks, fine motor, dramatic play, writing area, math area, music, library and puzzles. 

Mathematics, Science, Geography, Sensory, Language, Art and Movement are part of the curriculum. 

STEM project opportunities are incorporated on a monthly basis.

Spanish incorporated in our curriculum help us provide a bilingual program.

Cooking lessons (Currently on Pause due to COVID-19)

Field Trips during the School Year:

- Issaquah Library

- Fire Station

- Police Station

- Issaquah Salmon Hatchery

Teachers use MyKidzDay as a tool for posting pictures, newsletters, event information, reminders and private messages with parents.

Preschool lead teachers hold a minimum of CDA/BA/AA in Early Childhood Education or related field and they receive trainings from the Issaquah School District as well as trainings offered by the Department of Early Learning.

All lead teachers have completed or working towards their Early Childhood AA degree or Certification.

Our preschool program consists of 3 classrooms with low teacher ratios:

OWLS CLASS: 2 to 3 year olds (Young Preschoolers)

Teacher:ratio; 1:5

DEERS CLASS: 3 to 4 year olds

Teacher: ratio; 1:7

RABBITS CLASS: Pre-K with Kindergarten prep.

Teacher: ratio; 1:7
